Contributing Editor Druin Burch writes the "Medical Examiner" column in Natural History. He is an attending physician at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and teaches physiology, medicine, and human evolution at the University of Oxford. His most recent book is Taking the Medicine:A Short History of Medicine’s Beautiful Idea and Our Difficulty Swallowing It (Chatto and Windus, 2009). He is currrently working on a book about the discovery of dinosaurs.
